(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَتَّابٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ زِيَادٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ الْمُبَارَكِ ، أَنْبَأَنَا يُونُسُ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنِ السَّائِبِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ ، وَعُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ ، عَنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَبْدٍ ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ ، قَالَ عَبْد اللَّهِ : وَقَدْ بَلَغَ بِهِ أَبِي إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " مَنْ فَاتَهُ شَيْءٌ مِنْ وِرْدِهِ ، أَوْ قَالَ : مِنْ جُزْئِهِ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ ، فَقَرَأَهُ مَا بَيْنَ صَلَاةِ الْفَجْرِ إِلَى الظُّهْرِ ، فَكَأَنَّمَا قَرَأَهُ مِنْ لَيْلَتِهِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If a person misses his routine nightly supplications for any reason, and he recites them at any time between Fajr and Dhuhr the next day, it is as if he has fulfilled his routine during the night itself."
