(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ هو مولى بني هاشم ، حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ أَبِي الْفُرَاتِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْأَعْيَنِ الْعَبْدِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْأَحْوَصِ الْجُشَمِيِّ ، عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ ، قَالَ : سَأَلْنَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، عَنِ الْقِرَدَةِ وَالْخَنَازِيرِ ، أَمِنْ نَسْلِ الْيَهُودِ ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَمْ يَلْعَنْ قَوْمًا قَطُّ ، فَمَسَخَهُمْ وَكَانَ لَهُمْ نَسْلٌ حَتَّى يُهْلِكَهُمْ ، وَلَكِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ ، غَضِبَ عَلَى الْيَهُودِ ، فَمَسَخَهُمْ ، وَجَعَلَهُمْ مِثْلَهُمْ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that once we asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Are these monkeys and pigs from among the descendants of the Jews?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whenever Allah cursed a people and transformed their forms, He did not leave any offspring of them after destroying them. Rather, this creation already existed. When Allah's wrath descended upon the Jews and He transformed their forms, He made them like these."
