(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ الْمَسْعُودِيِّ ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ الثَقَفِيِّ أَوْ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ شَكَّ الْمَسْعُودِيُّ ، عَنِ عَبْدَةَ النَّهْدِيِّ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَمْ يُحَرِّمْ حُرْمَةً إِلَّا وَقَدْ عَلِمَ أَنَّهُ سَيَطَّلِعُهَا مِنْكُمْ مُطَّلِعٌ ، أَلَا وَإِنِّي آخِذٌ بِحُجَزِكُمْ أَنْ تَهَافَتُوا فِي النَّارِ كَتَهَافُتِ الْفَرَاشِ ، أَوْ الذُّبَابِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Allah knows that whatever He has declared unlawful, there will be those among you who will look at it with curiosity. Beware! I am holding you back by your waist to save you from falling into the fire of Hell, and you are falling into it just as moths or flies fall into it."
