مُسْنَدُ عَبْدِ اللّٰهِ بْنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ رَضِيَ اللّٰهُ عَنْهُمَا

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ ، عَنْ طَاوُسٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : شَهِدْتُ الْعِيدَ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَأَبِي بَكْرٍ ، وَعُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا ، " فَبَدَءُوا بِالصَّلَاةِ قَبْلَ الْخُطْبَةِ " .
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that I was present on the occasion of Eid with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), with Sayyiduna Abu Bakr and Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both); all of them used to lead the prayer before the sermon (without any call to prayer or iqamah).
