مُسْنَدُ عَبْدِ اللّٰهِ بْنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ رَضِيَ اللّٰهُ عَنْهُمَا

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي حَكَمُ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ سَعِيدَ بْنَ جُبَيْرٍ ، يُحَدِّثُ , عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ : أَنَّ الصَّعْبَ بْنَ جَثَّامَةَ اللَّيْثِيَّ ، أَهْدَى إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ بِقُدَيْدٍ عَجُزَ حِمَارٍ ، فَرَدَّهُ وَهُوَ يَقْطُرُ دَمًا " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that once Sayyiduna Sa'b bin Jaththamah (may Allah be pleased with him) presented the leg of a donkey to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) at the place of Qudayd, but the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) returned it, saying, "We are in the state of Ihram," and at that time its blood was dripping.
