Musnad Ahmad 26183 — Supplement to the Musnad of ‘A’ishah
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ , قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي جَعْفَرُ بْنُ كَيْسَانَ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَتْنِي عَمْرَةُ الْعَدَوِيَّةُ , قَالَتْ : سَمِعْتُ عَائِشَةَ ، تَقُولُ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " الْفَارُّ مِنَ الطَّاعُونِ كَالْفَارِّ مِنَ الزَّحْفِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever flees from the plague is like one who flees from the battlefield.
