حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : " لَيْسَ نُزُولُ الْمُحَصَّبِ بِالسُّنَّةِ ، إِنَّمَا نَزَلَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِيَكُونَ أَسْمَحَ لِخُرُوجِهِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that staying at the place of "Abtah" is not a Sunnah, rather the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stayed there only because it was easier to depart from that side.
