Musnad Ahmad 25652 — Supplement to the Musnad of ‘A’ishah
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، قَالَ : وَزَعَمَ عَطَاءٌ ، أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : " مَا مَاتَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَتَّى أَحَلَّ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لَهُ أَنْ يَنْكِحَ مَا شَاءَ " . قُلْتُ : عَمَّنْ تَأْثُرُ هَذَا ؟ قَالَ : لَا أَدْرِي ، حَسِبْتُ أَنِّي سَمِعْتُ عُبَيْدَ بْنَ عُمَيْرٍ يَقُولُ ذَلِكَ.
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not depart from this world until women were made lawful for him.
