Musnad Ahmad 25598 — Supplement to the Musnad of ‘A’ishah
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا صَالِحُ بْنُ أَبِي الْأَخْضَرِ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ ، وأبي سلمة ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " كَانَ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَأْكُلَ وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ ، غَسَلَ يَدَيْهِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) wanted to sleep or eat in a state requiring ghusl, he would perform ablution as for prayer.
