Musnad Ahmad 25459 — Supplement to the Musnad of ‘A’ishah
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، وَعَفَّانُ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنِ الْأَزْرَقِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ . قَالَ : عَفَّانُ : قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا الْأَزْرَقُ بْنُ قَيْسٍ ، عَنْ ذَكْوَانَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ : أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يُصَلِّي عَلَى الْخُمْرَةِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to pray on a mat.
