Musnad Ahmad 25259 — Supplement to the Musnad of ‘A’ishah
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَارِثِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مِهْزَمٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْقَاسِمِ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْقَاسِمُ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَهَا : " إِنَّهُ مَنْ أُعْطِيَ حَظَّهُ مِنَ الرِّفْقِ ، فَقَدْ أُعْطِيَ حَظَّهُ مِنْ خَيْرِ الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ ، وَصِلَةُ الرَّحِمِ وَحُسْنُ الْخُلُقِ وَحُسْنُ الْجِوَارِ يَعْمُرَانِ الدِّيَارَ ، وَيَزِيدَانِ فِي الْأَعْمَارِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to her: Whoever is given a share of gentleness, has been given a share of goodness in this world and the Hereafter. And maintaining ties of kinship, good character, and good neighborliness populate cities and are a cause of increase in lifespan.
