مُسْنَدُ عَبْدِ اللّٰهِ بْنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ رَضِيَ اللّٰهُ عَنْهُمَا

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ مَعْرُوفٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ ، أَنَّ بُكَيْرًا حَدَّثَهُ ، عَنْ كُرَيْبٍ مَوْلَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، حِينَ دَخَلَ الْبَيْتَ وَجَدَ فِيهِ صُورَةَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، وَصُورَةَ مَرْيَمَ ، فَقَالَ : " أَمَّا هُمْ ، فَقَدْ سَمِعُوا أَنَّ الْمَلَائِكَةَ لَا تَدْخُلُ بَيْتًا فِيهِ صُورَةٌ ، هَذَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ مُصَوَّرًا ، فَمَا بَالُهُ يَسْتَقْسِمُ ؟ ! " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) entered the Ka'bah, he saw pictures of Hazrat Ibrahim and Hazrat Maryam (peace be upon them). Upon seeing them, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "It has been heard that angels do not enter a house in which there is a picture (yet they have made these pictures), this is the picture of Hazrat Ibrahim (peace be upon him), what have they made of him that he is holding divining arrows?"
