Musnad Ahmad 24924 — Supplement to the Musnad of ‘A’ishah
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، قَالَ : يَزِيدُ الرِّشْكُ أَخْبَرَنِي ، عَنْ مُعَاذَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، أَنَّهَا سَأَلَتْهَا : أَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي الضُّحَى أَرْبَعًا ؟ قَالَتْ " نَعَمْ أَرْبَعًا ، وَيَزِيدُ مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha that the Prophet (peace be upon him) used to offer four rak'ahs of Duha prayer and would add to it as well.
