Musnad Ahmad 24889 — Supplement to the Musnad of ‘A’ishah
حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ مُعَاذَةَ ، قَالَتْ : سَأَلْتُ عَائِشَةَ كَمْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي الضُّحَى ؟ قَالَتْ : " أَرْبَعَ رَكَعَاتٍ ، وَيَزِيدُ مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha that the Prophet (peace be upon him) used to offer four rak'ahs of Duha prayer and would sometimes add to it.
