مُسْنَدُ عَبْدِ اللّٰهِ بْنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ رَضِيَ اللّٰهُ عَنْهُمَا

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، وَالطَّالَقَانِيُّ , قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي هِنْدٍ ، عَنْ ثَوْرِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " يُصَلِّي يَلْتَفِتُ يَمِينًا وَشِمَالًا ، وَلَا يَلْوِي عُنُقَهُ خَلْفَ ظَهْرِهِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) while praying would glance to the right and left with the corners of his eyes, but would not turn his neck to look behind.
قَالَ الطَّالَقَانِيُّ : حَدَّثَنِي ثَوْرٌ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، قَالَ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، مِثْلَهُ .
The previous hadith is also narrated through this second chain of transmission.
