Musnad Ahmad 24771 — Supplement to the Musnad of ‘A’ishah
حَدَّثَنَا سُرَيْجٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي حَازِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ مُسْلِمِ بْنِ قُرْطٍ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ عَائِشَةَ , تَقُولُ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا ذَهَبَ أَحَدُكُمْ لِحَاجَتِهِ ، فَلْيَسْتَطِبْ بِثَلَاثَةِ أَحْجَارٍ ، فَإِنَّهَا تُجْزِئُهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: When any one of you goes to relieve himself, he should perform istinja with three stones, for three stones suffice for him.
