Musnad Ahmad 24038 — Hadith of Lady ‘A’ishah (may Allah be pleased)
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ابْنِ يَزِيدَ رَضِيعًا كَانَ لِعَائِشَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " لَا يَمُوتُ أَحَدٌ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ ، فَيُصَلِّي عَلَيْهِ أُمَّةٌ مِنَ النَّاسِ يَبْلُغُونَ أَنْ يَكُونُوا مِئَةً ، فَيَشْفَعُوا لَهُ إِلَّا شُفِّعُوا فِيهِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that if a group of about one hundred Muslims offers the funeral prayer for a deceased Muslim and intercedes for him, their intercession for him is accepted.
