مُسْنَدُ عَبْدِ اللّٰهِ بْنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ رَضِيَ اللّٰهُ عَنْهُمَا

Musnad Ahmad 2217 — Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَاصِمٍ ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : أَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ بِالشُّهَدَاءِ أَنْ يُنْزَعَ عَنْهُمْ الْحَدِيدُ وَالْجُلُودُ ، وَقَالَ : " ادْفِنُوهُمْ بِدِمَائِهِمْ وَثِيَابِهِمْ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that on the day of the Battle of Uhud, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered regarding the martyrs: "Remove the iron weapons and leather (armor) from them," and said: "Bury them with their blood in the same clothes."
