مُسْنَدُ عَبْدِ اللّٰهِ بْنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ رَضِيَ اللّٰهُ عَنْهُمَا

Musnad Ahmad 2106 — Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ ، وَرَوْحٌ قَالَ : ثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ مَوْلَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " لَئِنْ عِشْت ، قَالَ رَوْحٌ : لَئِنْ سَلِمْتُ إِلَى قَابِلٍ , لَأَصُومَنَّ اليوم التَّاسِعَ " , يَعْنِي عَاشُورَاءَ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If I remain alive till the next year, I will surely fast on the ninth (of Muharram) along with the tenth."
