مُسْنَدُ عَبْدِ اللّٰهِ بْنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ رَضِيَ اللّٰهُ عَنْهُمَا

Musnad Ahmad 2103 — Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الْعَنْقَزِيُّ ، أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ كُهَيْلٍ ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : " هَجَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نِسَاءَهُ شَهْرًا ، فَلَمَّا مَضَى تِسْعٌ وَعِشْرُونَ ، أَتَاهُ جِبْرِيلُ ، فَقَالَ : قَدْ بَرَّتْ يَمِينُكَ ، وَقَدْ تَمَّ الشَّهْرُ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) left his noble wives for a month. When 29 days had passed, Angel Jibreel (peace be upon him) came to the presence of the Messenger and said, "Your oath has been fulfilled and the month has also been completed."
