مُسْنَدُ عَبْدِ اللّٰهِ بْنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ رَضِيَ اللّٰهُ عَنْهُمَا

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا اخْتَلَفْتُمْ فِي الطَّرِيقِ ، فَاجْعَلُوهُ سَبْعَ أَذْرُعٍ ، وَمَنْ بَنَى بِنَاءً ، فَلْيَدْعَمْهُ حَائِطَ جَارِهِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When you differ regarding the measurement of a pathway, make it seven cubits, and whoever builds a structure should make a pillar with his neighbor's wood (so that his building does not collapse)."
