مُسْنَدُ عَبْدِ اللّٰهِ بْنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ رَضِيَ اللّٰهُ عَنْهُمَا

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أُتِيَ بِجُبْنَةٍ ، قَالَ فَجَعَلَ أَصْحَابُهُ يَضْرِبُونَهَا بِالْعِصِيِّ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " ضَعُوا السِّكِّينَ وَاذْكُرُوا اسْمَ اللَّهِ وَكُلُوا " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that some cheese was brought to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) began to poke it with a stick. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Put down the knives and eat after saying Bismillah."
