مُسْنَدُ عَبْدِ اللّٰهِ بْنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ رَضِيَ اللّٰهُ عَنْهُمَا

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْأَخْنَسِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ يُوسُفَ بْنِ مَاهَكَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " مَا اقْتَبَسَ رَجُلٌ عِلْمًا مِنَ النُّجُومِ إِلَّا اقْتَبَسَ بِهَا شُعْبَةً مِنَ السِّحْرِ مَا زَادَ زَادَ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever learns astrology has learned a branch of magic; the more he advances in astrology, the further he advances in magic."
