Musnad Ahmad 19995 — Hadith of Imran ibn Husayn
حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى , وَسُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ , قَالَا : ثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا غَيْلَانُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ ، عَنْ مُطَرِّفٍ ، قَالَ : " صَلَّيْتُ صَلَاةً خَلْفَ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ أَنَا وَعِمْرَانُ بْنُ حُصَيْنٍ ، فَكَانَ إِذَا سَجَدَ كَبَّرَ ، وَإِذَا رَفَعَ كَبَّرَ ، وَإِذَا نَهَضَ مِنَ الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ , كَبَّرَ " ، فَلَمَّا قَضَى الصَّلَاةَ ، أَخَذَ بِيَدِي عِمْرَانُ ، فَقَالَ : لَقَدْ ذَكَّرَنِي هَذَا قَبَلُ صَلَاةَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، أَوْ قَالَ : لَقَدْ صَلَّى بِنَا هَذَا صَلَاةَ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ.
Mutarrif bin Shukhair says that I was with Hazrat Imran bin Husain (may Allah be pleased with him) in Kufa, when Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) led us in prayer. He would say Allahu Akbar every time he went into prostration and every time he raised his head. When the prayer was finished, Hazrat Imran (may Allah be pleased with him) said: He has led us in prayer just like the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to pray.
