Musnad Ahmad 19699 — Hadith of Abu Musa al-Ash'ari
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَن سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ ، عَن أَبِيهِ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَعَثَ مُعَاذًا ، وَأَبَا مُوسَى ، إِلَى الْيَمَنِ ، فَقَالَ : " بَشِّرُوا وَلَا تُنَفِّرُوا ، وَيَسِّرُوا وَلَا تُعَسِّرُوا ، وَتَطَاوَعَا وَلَا تَخْتَلِفَا " ، قَالَ : فَكَانَ لِكُلِّ وَاحِدٍ مِنْهُمَا فُسْطَاطًا يَكُونُ فِيهِ ، يَزُورُ أَحَدُهُمَا صَاحِبَهُ . قَالَ أَبُو عَبْد الرَّحْمَنِ : أَظُنُّهُ عَن أَبِي مُوسَى .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him and Hazrat Mu'adh (may Allah be pleased with him) when sending them to Yemen: Give glad tidings, do not spread aversion, make things easy, do not create difficulties, obey one another, and do not differ among yourselves. Thus, each of them had a tent in which they would come to meet each other.
