Musnad Ahmad 19695 — Hadith of Abu Musa al-Ash'ari
حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَن لَيْثِ بْنِ أَبِي سُلَيْمٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا بُرْدَةَ زَمَنَ الْحَجَّاجِ ، يُحَدِّثُ عَن أَبِي مُوسَى ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، أَنَّهُ رَأَى جِنَازَةً يُسْرِعُونَ بِهَا ، فَقَالَ : " لِتَكُنْ عَلَيْكُمْ السَّكِينَةُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) that once some people passed quickly with a funeral in front of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: One should walk with calmness.
