Musnad Ahmad 19578 — Hadith of Abu Musa al-Ash'ari
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عُمَارَةَ ، عَنْ غُنَيْمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى الْأَشْعَرِيِّ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " إِذَا اسْتَعْطَرَتْ الْمَرْأَةُ ، فَخَرَجَتْ عَلَى الْقَوْمِ لِيَجِدُوا رِيحَهَا ، فَهِيَ كَذَا وَكَذَا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When a woman applies perfume and passes by some people so that they may smell her fragrance, then she is such and such (i.e., a wrongdoer).
