Musnad Ahmad 19331 — Hadith of Zayd ibn Arqam
حَدَّثَنَا أَسْبَاطٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ . وَعَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ الشَّيْبَانِيِّ ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَرْقَمَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ هَذِهِ الْحُشُوشَ مُحْتَضَرَةٌ ، فَإِذَا أَرَادَ أَحَدُكُمْ أَنْ يَدْخُلَ ، فَلْيَقُلْ : اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْخُبْثِ وَالْخَبَائِثِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Jinn frequently come to these toilets, so when any one of you enters the toilet, he should recite this supplication: 'O Allah! I seek refuge with You from male and female evil jinn.'"
