وَمِنْ حَدِيثِ جَرِيرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
And from the hadith of Jarir ibn Abdullah from the Prophet (peace be upon him)
Musnad Ahmad 19259 — And from the hadith of Jarir ibn Abdullah
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مُدْرِكٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي زُرْعَةَ ، عَنْ جَرِيرٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " اسْتَنْصِتْ النَّاسَ ، لَا تَرْجِعُوا بَعْدِي كُفَّارًا يَضْرِبُ بَعْضُكُمْ رِقَابَ بَعْضٍ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Jarir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet said to him during the Farewell Pilgrimage, "O Jarir! Make the people quiet," then during his sermon he said, "Do not become disbelievers after me, striking the necks of one another."
