And from the hadith of Jarir ibn Abdullah from the Prophet (peace be upon him)
Musnad Ahmad 19242 — And from the hadith of Jarir ibn Abdullah
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، قَالَ عَبْد اللَّهِ بن أحمد : وَسَمِعْتُهُ أَنَا مِنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصٌ ، عَنْ دَاوُدَ ، عَنْ عَامِرٍ الشَّعْبِيِّ ، عَنْ جَرِيرٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَيُّمَا عَبْدٍ أَبَقَ ، فَقَدْ بَرِئَتْ مِنْهُ الذِّمَّةُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Jarir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If any slave runs away from his master, no one remains responsible for him; the responsibility ends."
