وَمِنْ حَدِيثِ جَرِيرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
And from the hadith of Jarir ibn Abdullah from the Prophet (peace be upon him)
Musnad Ahmad 19160 — And from the hadith of Jarir ibn Abdullah
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ ، عَنْ يُونُسَ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي زُرْعَةَ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ جَرِيرٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ جَرِيرٌ : " سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ نَظْرَةِ الْفَجْأَةِ ، فَأَمَرَنِي أَنْ أَصْرِفَ بَصَرِي " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Jarir (may Allah be pleased with him) that I asked the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about accidentally glancing at a non-mahram woman, so the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) instructed me to turn my gaze away.
