Musnad Ahmad 19061 — Hadith of Abu Layla ibn Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi
حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ دَاوُدَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَابِسٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي فَزَارَةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ فِيمَا أَعْلَمُ شَكَّ مُوسَى ، " أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ اعْتَكَفَ فِي قُبَّةٍ مِنْ خُوصٍ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Laila (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) observed i'tikaf in a tent made of palm leaves.
