Musnad Ahmad 18920 — Hadith of al-Miswar ibn Makhramah al-Zuhri
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنِ الْمِسْوَرِ بْنِ مَخْرَمَةَ ، وَمَرْوَانَ ، قَالاَ : " قَلَّدَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْهَدْيَ ، وَأَشْعَرَهُ ، بِذِي الْحُلَيْفَةِ ، وَأَحْرَمَ مِنْهَا بِالْعُمْرَةِ ، حَلَقَ بِالْحُدَيْبِيَةِ فِي عُمْرَتِهِ ، وَأَمَرَ أَصْحَابَهُ بِذَلِكَ ، وَنَحَرَ بِالْحُدَيْبِيَةِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَحْلِقَ ، وَأَمَرَ أَصْحَابَهُ بِذَلِكَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Miswar (may Allah be pleased with him) and Marwan (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) reached Dhul-Hulaifah, he put a collar on the sacrificial animal, marked it, and assumed Ihram from there. At Hudaybiyyah, he shaved his head and ordered his companions (may Allah be pleased with them) to do the same. He performed the sacrifice before shaving his head and instructed his companions (may Allah be pleased with them) to do likewise.
