حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُرَّةَ ، عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَجَمَ يَهُودِيًّا ، وَقَالَ : " اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أُشْهِدُكَ أَنِّي أَوَّلُ مَنْ أَحْيَا سُنَّةً قَدْ أَمَاتُوهَا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Bara’ (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stoned a Jew and said, "O Allah! I am the first person to revive Your command after they had made it dead."
