Musnad Ahmad 18413 — Hadith of al-Nu‘man ibn Bashir from the Prophet
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا إِسْحَاقَ يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ النُّعْمَانَ بْنَ بَشِيرٍ وَهُوَ يَخْطُبُ يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " إِنَّ أَهْوَنَ أَهْلِ النَّارِ عَذَابًا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ لَرَجُلٌ يُوضَعُ فِي أَخْمَصِ قَدَمَيْهِ جَمْرَتَانِ يَغْلِي مِنْهُمَا دِمَاغُهُ " .
Hazrat Nu'man (may Allah be pleased with him) once said while delivering a sermon that I heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: On the Day of Resurrection, the lightest punishment will be for the person who will have shoes of fire put on his feet, and from them his brain will be boiling.
