حَدِيثُ رَجُلٍ مِنْ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَنْهُ

Musnad Ahmad 18294 — Hadith of a man from the Muhajirun
حَدَّثَنَا مُعْتَمِرٌ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَيُّوبَ . ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الطُّفَاوِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ ، الْمَعْنَي ، عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ هِلَالٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنَ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ ، يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ تُوبُوا إِلَى اللَّهِ وَاسْتَغْفِرُوهُ ، فَإِنِّي أَتُوبُ إِلَى اللَّهِ وَأَسْتَغْفِرُهُ فِي كُلِّ يَوْمٍ مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ ، أَوْ أَكْثَرَ مِنْ مِائَةِ مَرَّةٍ " .
It is narrated from a Muhajir companion (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: O people! Keep repenting to your Lord, and I myself repent to Him a hundred times in a day.
