Musnad Ahmad 18184 — Hadith of al-Mughira ibn Shu'bah
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، وَبَهْزٌ ، قَالاَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ ، قَالَ ابْنُ جَعْفَرٍ : قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ مَيْمُونَ بْنَ أَبِي شَبِيبٍ يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " مَنْ رَوَى عَنِّي حَدِيثًا وَهُوَ يَرَى أَنَّهُ كَذِبٌ ، فَهُوَ أَحَدُ الْكَذَّابِينَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Mughirah bin Shu'bah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever narrates a hadith from me and he understands that he is lying, then he is one of the two liars.
