Musnad Ahmad 17997 — Hadith of Abdur-Rahman ibn Ghanm al-Ash'ari
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ شَهْرٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ غَنْمٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " مَنْ تَحَلَّى أَوْ حُلِّيَ بِخَزِّ بَصِيصَةٍ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ ، كُوِيَ بِهَا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abdur Rahman bin Ghanm (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Whoever wears a shiny gold ornament himself or puts it on someone else, he will be branded with it on the Day of Resurrection.
