Musnad Ahmad 17994 — Hadith of Abdur-Rahman ibn Ghanm al-Ash'ari
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْحَمِيدِ بْنُ بَهْرَامٍ ، عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ غَنْمٍ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لِأَبِي بَكْرٍ ، وَعُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا : " لَوْ اجْتَمَعْتُمَا فِي مَشُورَةٍ مَا خَالَفْتُكُمَا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abdur Rahman bin Ghanm (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to Hazrat Abu Bakr and Umar (may Allah be pleased with them): "If both of you agree on any consultation, I will not oppose you."
