حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الحَمِيدِ بْنُ بَهْرَامٍ ، عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ غَنْمٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ سِبْطًا مِنْ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ هَلَكَ ، لَا يُدْرَى أَيْنَ مَهْلِكُهُ ، وَأَنَا أَخَافُ أَنْ تَكُونَ هَذِهِ الضِّبَابُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abdur Rahman bin Ghanm (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: A group of Bani Israel was destroyed, but the place of their destruction is not known to anyone. I fear that perhaps it is this lizard.
