Musnad Ahmad 17970 — Hadith of Ya'la ibn Umayyah
حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ أَبِي سُلَيْمَانَ ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ ، عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ يَعْلَى بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ حَيِيٌّ سِتِّيرٌ ، فَإِذَا أَرَادَ أَحَدُكُمْ أَنْ يَغْتَسِلَ ، فَلْيَتَوَارَى بِشَيْءٍ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Ya'la (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Allah Almighty is very modest and concealing, so when any one of you intends to take a bath, he should cover himself with something.
