Musnad Ahmad 17961 — Hadith of Ya'la ibn Umayyah
حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ ، عَنْ عَمْرٍو يَعْنِي ابْنَ دِينَارٍ ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ ، عَنْ صَفْوَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ يَقْرَأُ : " وَنَادَوْا يَا مَالِكُ سورة الزخرف آية 77 " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Ya'la (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) reciting this verse on the pulpit: "Wa naadaw ya Malik."
