حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ عُمَرِ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ بْنِ ثَوْبَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي لَاسٍ الْخُزَاعِيِّ ، قَالَ : حَمَلَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى إِبِلٍ مِنْ إِبِلِ الصَّدَقَةِ لِلْحَجِّ ، فَقُلْنَا : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، مَا نَرَى أَنْ تَحْمِلَنَا هَذِهِ . قَالَ : " مَا مِنْ بَعِيرٍ إِلَّا فِي ذُرْوَتِهِ شَيْطَانٌ ، فَاذْكُرُوا اسْمَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهَا إِذَا رَكِبْتُمُوهَا كَمَا أَمَرَكُمْ ، ثُمَّ امْتَهِنُوهَا لِأَنْفُسِكُمْ ، فَإِنَّمَا يَحْمِلُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu al-As Khuzai (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) granted us a camel from the camels of charity to ride during Hajj: We said, O Messenger of Allah! (peace and blessings be upon him) Perhaps this (due to weakness) will not be able to bear our load. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: There is a devil on the hump of every camel. When you are about to mount it, do so by taking the name of Allah as you have been commanded, then bring it under your control. Allah Almighty will make it suitable for riding.
