حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ رَبَاحٍ ، عَن أَبِيهِ ، عَن أَبِي قَيْسٍ مَوْلَى عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ ، عَن عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " فَصْلُ مَا بَيْنَ صِيَامِكُمْ وَصِيَامِ 59 أهل الكتاب ، أَكْلَةُ السَّحَرِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Amr bin Aas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The distinction between your fasts and the fasts of the People of the Book is eating the pre-dawn meal (suhoor).
