Musnad Ahmad 17507 — Hadith of Hubshi ibn Junadah As-Sululi
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ ، وَبْنُ أَبِي بُكَيْرٍ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ، عن حُبْشِيِّ بْنِ جُنَادَةَ ، قَالَ يَحْيَى : وَكَانَ مِمَّنْ شَهِدَ حَجَّةَ الْوَدَاعِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِلْمُحَلِّقِينَ " ، قَالُوا : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، وَالْمُقَصِّرِينَ ؟ قَالَ : " اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِلْمُحَلِّقِينَ " ، قَالُوا : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، وَالْمُقَصِّرِينَ ؟ قَالَ : " اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِلْمُحَلِّقِينَ " ، قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، وَالْمُقَصِّرِينَ ؟ قَالَ فِي الثَّالِثَةِ : " وَالْمُقَصِّرِينَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Habshi (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) while supplicating said: O Allah! Forgive those who shave their heads. The companions (may Allah be pleased with them) submitted: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), pray for those who trim their hair as well. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) again supplicated for those who shave their heads, and on the third time, he supplicated for those who trim their hair.
