حَدِیث اَبِی رِمثَةَ التَّیمِیِّ وَیقَال : التَّمِیمِیِّ رَضِیَ اللَّه تَعَالَى عَنه
Hadith of Abu Rimthah At-Taymi, and it is said: At-Tamimi (may Allah be pleased with him)
Musnad Ahmad 17491 — Hadith of Abu Rimthah At-Taymi, and it is said
حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ عُمَيْرٍ ، عَنْ إِيَادِ بْنِ لَقِيطٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو رِمْثَةَ التَّمِيمِيُّ ، قَالَ : أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَمَعِي ابْنٌ لِي ، فَقَالَ : " هَذَا ابْنُكَ ؟ " . فَقُلْتُ : نَعَمْ أَشْهَدُ بِهِ . قَالَ : " لَا يَجْنِي عَلَيْكَ ، وَلَا تَجْنِي عَلَيْهِ " . قَالَ : وَرَأَيْتُ الشَّيْبَ أَحْمَرَ.
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Rimtha (may Allah be pleased with him) that once I went to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) taking my son with me. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked, "Is this your son?" I replied, "Yes! I bear witness to it." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "You will not be held responsible for any crime of his, nor will he be held responsible for any crime of yours." The narrator says, "I saw the red and white hair of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)."
