Musnad Ahmad 1736 — Hadith of al-Husayn ibn Ali
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ، وَأَبُو سَعِيدٍ , قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ بِلَالٍ ، عَنْ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ غَزِيَّةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ حُسَيْنٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ حُسَيْنٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , قَالَ : " الْبَخِيلُ مَنْ ذُكِرْتُ عِنْدَهُ ، ثُمَّ لَمْ يُصَلِّ عَلَيَّ " ، قَالَ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ : " فلم يصلي علي " صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَثِيرًا .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Imam Hussain (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The real miser is the one in whose presence my mention is made and he does not send blessings upon me."
