Musnad Ahmad 17357 — Hadith of Uqbah ibn Amir Al-Juhani
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ قَيْسٍ الْجُذَامِيِّ ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " مَنْ أَعْتَقَ رَقَبَةً مُسْلِمَةً ، فَهِيَ فِدَاؤُهُ مِنَ النَّارِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever frees a Muslim slave, it will become a means of his freedom from Hell.
