حَدَّثَنَا عَتَّابٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ زِيَادٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ الْمُبَارَكِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ ، حَدَّثَنِي كَعْبُ بْنُ عَلْقَمَةَ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ شِمَاسَةَ يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْخَيْرِ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ عُقْبَةَ بْنَ عَامِرٍ ، يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : " كَفَّارَةُ النَّذْرِ كَفَّارَةُ الْيَمِينِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Uqbah bin Aamir (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: The expiation for a vow is the same as the expiation for an oath.
