Musnad Ahmad 17178 — Hadith of al-Miqdam ibn Ma'dikarib al-Kindi Abu
حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الْجُودِيِّ يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُهَاجِرِ ، عَنِ الْمِقْدَامِ بْنِ مَعْدِي كَرِبَ أَبِي كَرِيمَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَيُّمَا مُسْلِمٍ أَضَافَ قَوْمًا فَأَصْبَحَ الضَّيْفُ مَحْرُومًا كَانَ حَقًّا عَلَى كُلِّ مُسْلِمٍ نَصْرَهُ حَتَّى يَأْخُذَ بِقِرَى لَيْلَتِهِ مِنْ زَرْعِهِ وَمَالِهِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Miqdam (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "If a Muslim becomes a guest with a people but is deprived of his right, then it is obligatory upon every Muslim to help him, until he receives from the hosts' crops and wealth the due for his hospitality for that night."
